*Our Story*

## Tuscaloosa's first *smoke-free* tavern, since 2009.

Alcove opened in September 2009 — right after Free-the-Hops legalized higher-ABV beer in Alabama — and helped pave the way for the craft beer scene in Tuscaloosa. From the start we were the smallest bar with the biggest beer list in town, working with breweries and distributors to bring offerings here that nobody else had on shelves yet.

Inside you won't find any neon beer signs. The walls hold imported art from Peru and a rotating room of work from local artists. Over the years we've expanded left and right while keeping the cozy, sophisticated atmosphere our regulars come back for and newcomers feel welcome in.

Twelve revolving taps move with the seasons and feature one-off specialty kegs alongside mainstays and craft draft oddities. Our import cooler is loaded with the freshest crafts from across the country, and our domestic cooler is the coldest in town with tall-boy discounts and every main light beer in stock.

## Tuscaloosa's high-end *pinball* parlor.

Seven Stern Pinball machines, all **Insider Connected** — the first leaderboard of its kind in the city. Log in when you play to track stats, unlock achievements, and put your name on our digital leaderboard for prizes.

The game room also includes a 4-player multicade with over 6,000 games, an old-school cocktail arcade table, a racing machine, and darts. All of the arcades are set to Free Play; the pinball is pay-to-play.

Since 2009, Alcove has been Tuscaloosa's bar for professionals. Reserve our private booth room — at no charge — for team building, casual mixers, and holiday parties. Mon–Thu, 4 PM – 7 PM.
